We are located in Southern Maryland and are available in all of Maryland, the District of Columbia, and some parts of Virginia and began operations in 2005.
I was born to a father who toted a huge camera, and accordingly there aren’t many photographs OF Dad as there are BY Dad. In middle school, I received an APS camera. Do you remember those things? They could take 4×6, 4×7 or panoramic pictures. I mean, HOW COOL WAS THAT!?!?! And then my older brother gifted me a Polaroid. But it was a “cool” one because it printed the smaller photos. OH OH OH, and then there was Polaroid that made *stickers*. I just picked myself up from the floor again just at the thought of how cool that was. It’s still buried in a box in my basement, I think. … I took Photography in high school. Our teacher was awesome. She was a great photographer, not as great a teacher. But she let us mispronounce her name and things just got crazy from there. In college, I did not really let my teacher teach me, and it’s sad because I could really have learned a lot from him. Instead, I knew everything and did what I wanted, which was barely enough to float by. My brothers bought me equipment so I could print photos in my basement. That’s when I purchased my first DSLR. That’s when my love affair became a marriage.
My little brother and I decided to start a company a decade ago. He was the artsy-er one, while I was stricter with all of the rules imposed in all the books I read. Luckily for my clients, those rules have been thrown out the window and I have embraced his more creative approach. I feel so much better about that. My confidence level sky-rocketed once I broke out of those constraints. Just check out the results.
I am available for hire in any photographic capacity. I love to meet new people. I love to say “farts” to get your sons to laugh and I love to scratch the bellies of your puppies. I love to watch a dog lick the face of a child. I even like cats. I really do, I just can’t have my own any more since my husband “isn’t a cat person,” whatever that means. I will try to not cry at your wedding, but because I am now older and have grown more and more romantic, I will not promise results in that attempt. Parties are fun. Why don’t people have more parties with photos for no reason? Bar & Bat Mitzvahs are so exciting. I love the female form, ie boudoir sessions are my jam. And do not get me started on how much I love a good newborn session. Fresh out of the womb, with those little fuzzy hairs and milk bumps, with that new smell…it’s rejuvenates my heart.
